Reductress Workshop 1: Introduction to Satire and Comedy Writing

Ready to learn satire writing from the editors and founders of Reductress? Based on the popular recurring writer’s workshop out of their offices in NYC, the editors of Reductress lead this online seminar going over the fundamentals of satire writing in the style and method of Reductress. In this workshop, you’ll learn about what makes a great piece, how to generate ideas based on current events, how to build a solid headline, and write a satirical piece of your own – all on your own time and at your own pace. At the end of the course each student will be able to submit a draft of their piece for notes from a Reductress editor at the end of the workshop.
